Last week, the World Savings Bank Institute (WSBI) held its 22nd annual meeting in Santiago Chile. This years theme was “Financial Inclusion in a Globalized World” and it focused largely on financial inclusion and the challenge for retail banks to develop sustainable and innovative products and services during crisis. Elizabeth Littlefield, CGAP CEO was unable to present in person but sent a video message on the effects of the crisis on microfinance institutions. Here is what she had to say.
